* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Camilla Brummette
Camilla Lynn Brummette, age 63, of rural Mendon, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born August 31, 1961, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the late James E. and Oleta J. (Garrett) Singleton. Camilla and Kenneth R. Brummette were married on November 5, 1982, and he preceded her in death December 4, 2021.
Surviving are their children: Vince (Lee) Brummette of Van Wert, Cindy Brummette (Toby Naseman) of Fort Wayne, Kenneth Jr. (Sherry) Brummette of Convoy, Patricia Brummette (Brylee Speed) of Portland,  and Alonzo J. Brummette of Ohio City, 15 grandchildren: Cassey, Jacob, Kevanna, JD, Austin, McKenna, Emmit, Addalynn, Emily, Gabby, Jameson, Bella, Taylen, Chad, AJ, and a great granddaughter, Ellianna.
Also surviving are her siblings: James Singleton II of Decatur, Chris Singleton of Ottawa, James Garrett of Oklahoma, and Joseph Garrett of Washington, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Vicki Roberts of Middle Point, Judy (Dave) Highley of St. Marys, Mary (Mark) Myers of Fort Jennings, Paul (Jodi) Brummette of Van Wert, and Pauline Richardson of Celina. Camilla's neighbors: Sam and Teresa Kieffer, were like extended family to her.
Camilla was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Teresa Kay, a nephew, Mitchell McGough, brothers-in-law: James B. Price and Kenneth Richardson, and parents-in-law: Alonzo and Linda (Evans) Brummette.
Camilla had attended Monmouth Schools in Decatur, Indiana. She was a homemaker, and had worked as the head of housekeeping and laundry at Shane Hill Nursing Home in Rockford, and also had been employed at Findlay Industries in Ohio City.
Activities that Camilla enjoyed were gardening, sewing, reading, writing, drawing, and various crafts. She loved horses and her pet dogs, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 7th, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Ben Neff, officiating. Burial will follow at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling Hours are from 1:00 - 3:00 and 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 6th, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
