Jacquelyn Wright
Jacquelyn C. Wright, age 83, formerly of Cave Junction, Oregon, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio. She was born on September 4, 1941, in Bell, California, to the late Jack and Rosile (Plueger) Williams.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her infant brother, Jack Williams; and her son, Russell Wright.
Jackie is survived by her children, Pastor Robin (Kerry) Owen of Coldwater, and Rich (Alejandra) Wright of North Troy, Vermont; her grandchildren, William Boswell, Jason Boswell, Luke (Lauren) Wright, William (Kate) Wright, Samantha (Nathan) Akse, and Eduardo (fiancé, Colleen) Wright; her great grandchildren, Collin and Jed Wright, and Mila and Noah Akse.
Jackie was a 1959 graduate of Illinois Valley High School in Cave Junction, Oregon. She spent most of her life devoted to educating the next generation as a teacher and school administrator in Oregon. After she retired, Jackie still enjoyed giving back and volunteering within the school and community. Jackie was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cave Junction, where she was very active. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Recovery, with Vicar Keith Monroe officiating. Guests may visit with Jackie' family on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. The family would like to extend an invitation to join them for continued fellowship and a funeral luncheon following the service in the church basement.
A celebration of life service is being planned in Cave Junction, Oregon for Memorial Day weekend. More details to come.
Inurnment will take place at the convenience of the family at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass, Oregon.
Memorial contributions may be given to Project Youth +, an organization that provides college preparation and enrichment programs for low income youth in the Illinois Valley.
