Duane Sheets
Duane R. Sheets, aged 71, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, at 8:20 p.m. at Divine in Rockford, Ohio. He was born October 24, 1953 to the late Richard and Mildred (Thomas) Sheets.
He was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Debra A. (Fisher) Sheets, on August 25, 2018.
Duane was a 1972 graduate of Celina High School and a self-employed farmer, livestock handler, and truck driver for many years. He cherished the freedom of working outdoors on the land and enjoyed sharing his passion for farming with his nephews. A proud second-generation farmer, he took great satisfaction in witnessing the legacy continue with the third generation.
He is survived by three nephews: Jeffrey (Kelly) Sheets of Celina, Gregory (Jessica) Sheets of Celina, and Douglas (Dana) Sheets of Celina; one nephew, Jeremy Sheets, who preceded him in death; five great-nephews: David, Nathan, Joshua, Luke, and Aaron; five great-nieces: Cindy, Megan, Julia, Abigail, and Claire; and a brother, Rodney (Linda) Sheets of Celina.
Funeral services will be conducted on August 15, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the funeral beginning promptly at 12:00 p.m. Officiating is Rev. Adam Poe.
Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina, Ohio.
