* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Donnie Diers
Donnie "Pickle" Diers, Jr., 56, of Saint Marys, died 3:26 A.M. Sunday, April 27, 2025, at St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima.
He was born September 18, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Donald and Linda (Linderman) Diers, Sr. His mother survives in Saint Marys. He married Tammy Garman on September 10, 2022, in Mendon, Ohio, and she survives in Saint Marys.
He is also survived by his sister, Mindy (Rick) Thiebeau of Saint Marys; by his sisters-in-law Chrissy (Ed) Vining of Celina; Jeanette Garman of Wapakoneta; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and by his sister, Jenny Diers Carpenter.
Donnie was a 1987 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He attended Sinclair College and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He was employed as a saw operator at Crown Equipment Corporation in Celina. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, gardening with his wife. He played the banjo and enjoyed listening to performing bluegrass music; he loved all animals, but especially dogs. Pickle had a very creative mind and great imagination. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Paul Gruetter, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be given to the Diabetes' Foundation.
