Roger Patch
Roger W. Patch, age 63, of Rockford, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 26, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 27, 1962, in Union City, Ohio, to Francis and Betty A. (Wendel) Patch. On October 20, 2001, he married Yvonne (Moon) Patch, who survives at their home in Rockford.
In addition to his beloved wife, Roger is survived by his mother, Betty A. Patch of Berne, Indiana; his children, Natasha L. Moon of Rockford, Ericka L. Fisher of Sidney, and Adam R. Fisher of Tucson, Arizona; two grandsons, Trevor Houser and Tyler Fisher; a stepson, Jeremy Bruggemen, Fort Recovery; his siblings, William (Melissa) Patch of Findlay, Diana (Bud) Bickle of Churubusco, Indiana, Randy (Goldie) Patch of Ansonia, Tammy Teeple of Berne, Joe (Bonnie) Patch of Geneva, Patty (Rick) Newsome of Dunkirk, and John (Carolyn) Patch of Geneva; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis Patch; a son, Keith LaFountain II; a brother, Stanley Patch; a sister, Connie Stanford; and a brother-in-law, David Teeple.
Roger was a 1980 graduate of South Adams High School in Berne. He worked as a brick mason for over 45 years and started his own masonry business about six years ago. Roger loved the outdoors and felt closest to God while hunting, a pastime he deeply cherished. He also enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and attending steam tractor shows.
Family meant the world to Roger. He treasured every moment spent with his children and grandsons and was blessed by the love of his family and church family. He was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a faithful member of Abounding Grace Ministries in Celina. He was also a proud member of the Bricklayers Union.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Abounding Grace Ministries, 7495 US-127, Celina, Ohio 45822, with Pastors Rick Brosher and Steve Bratcher officiating. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County, 218 S. Main Street, Celina, Ohio 45822.
The Patch family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Cisco Funeral Homes in Celina and St. Marys for their compassion and care during this difficult time.
