* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ned Brown
Ned William Brown, age 68, of Ellettsville, died Friday (12/28) at I.U. Health; Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
Born October 17, 1950 in Celina, Ohio, he was the son of Emery L. and Helen Lenore (Nelson) Brown.
He retired as an examiner of consumer credit with the Indiana Department of Financial Institution. Ned enjoyed tinkering in his woodworking shop, cooking breakfast for family and friends, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He loved vacationing in Bellaire, Michigan with family and traveling the world with his wife and friends. In his past time you could find Ned at the Northwest Monroe County YMCA or playing billiards with his friend in his basement.
Ned is survived by his loving wife, Michelle "Chelle" (Wilhelm) Brown, of Ellettsville, his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Natalie Brown, of Noblesville, his two daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole and Adam Goerges and Sara and Justin Rogers, all of Ellettsville, one sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Calvin Sherrill, of Celina, Ohio, his six beloved grandchildren, Hadley Brown, Emery Brown, Aidan Goerges, Addison Goerges, Anderson Goerges and Victor Rogers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Dr. William T. Dorsey; two brothers, Bud Brown and Larry Brown and two sisters, Chloe Esmonde and Joan Sams.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday (01/03) at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St.; Bloomington, Indiana.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
