Alice Bruns
Alice M. (Berger) Bruns, age 82, died on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, Ohio where she had resided for several years.
She was born on September 25, 1934, the daughter of the late Magloire and Bertha (Grisez) Berger. On June 6, 1956, she married Alvin Bruns in Versailles, and he survives in Minster.
Also surviving are her children Jane (Roy) Kremer of Coldwater, Bill Bruns of New Bremen, and a daughter-in-law Anna Bruns of Auburn, Indiana, grandchildren Melissa (Nick) Johnson of Auburn, Indiana, Megan Bruns of Spencerville, Indiana, Rob Kremer of Coldwater, a great-granddaughter Faith Johnson, her siblings John (Barb) Berger, Dick (Bernice) Berger, Doris (Dick) Ware, Nancy (Dan) Strieb, Ron Berger, all of Versailles, and Bill (Linda) Berger of Centerville, Ohio, a sister-in-law Rosalyn Berger of Minster, a number of in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Steven Bruns, a grandson Ryan Kremer, and her brothers Paul Berger and Jerome Berger.
Alice was a 1952 graduate of Versailles High School. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. For many years, she was a bookkeeper for her husband's construction business. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen at 11:00 am with the Rev. Tim Ralston–Celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Valbert's Cemetery of Versailles.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the Heritage Manor Activity Fund.
