Florence Hartke-Weeks
Florence C. Hartke-Weeks, age 92, formerly of Carthagena, died Tuesday, March 15 at Celina Manor.
She was born on October 25, 1923 in Celina to the late Andrew & Josephine (Boskin) Puthoff. She was preceded in death by her first husband Victor Hartke in 1968 and her second husband, Ray Weeks in 1994.
She is survived by eight children; Anita & Russ Hynd of St. Henry, Dennis & Shirley Hartke of Sidney, Roger & Janice Hartke of Chickasaw, Walt & Nancy Hartke of St. Henry, Susan & Aubrey Schlarman of St. Henry, Linda & Barry Niekamp of Celina, Ann & Tom Hendricks of Celina, and Ruth & Mark Miller of St. Henry; 33 grandchildren, and 47 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a daughter Eileen Griesdorn, one great grandchild, one great great grandchild, and she was the last of her family of one sister and three brothers.
She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena and also its ladies rosary altar sodality. She was a member of the Coldwater Eagles Auxiliary, a frequent volunteer at the Coldwater Hospital and Center for Neurological Development in Burkettsville, and enjoyed participating in the Senior Citizens Bowling League in Coldwater.
She was a bookkeeper and secretary at The Messenger Press for many years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena, Ohio. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 until 7 pm Friday and 11:30 until 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
