Patricia Smith
Patricia FitzGerald Smith, 91, Shippensburg, Pa., died peacefully Nov. 28, 2014, at her home.
She was born in 1923, in England, to Maurice and Marie FitzGerald. In 1955, she married Richard J. Smith, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Angela (Mark), Shippensburg; a son, David (Karen); and two grandsons, Cameron and Spencer Smith, Fayetteville, N.Y.
Deceased is a brother, Desmond.
She served in World War II as a Red Cross nurse with the British Royal Navy. She completed her nurse's training at West London Hospital, England. In 1953, she immigrated to the United States and worked at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Ind. After marrying, she moved to Coldwater and worked at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a hospice center or charity of the donor's choice.
