Ruby Jones
Ruby Jones, 88, Mendon, departed for heaven at 12:25 p.m. Aug. 21, 2014, at her daugher's residence in Mercer.
She was born June 8, 1926, in Pruden, Tenn., to Luster and Maude Browing Fuson. In 1947, she married Troy Jones, who died in 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Troy (Sharon) Jones, Mendon, and Kenneth (Vickie) Jones, Mendon; a daughter, Billie (William) Heindel, Mendon; six brothers, Lonnie (Gloria) Fuson, Frakes, Ky., Charles (Norma) Fuson, Celina, Earl (Geneva) Fuson, Frakes, Ky., Ed (Vanda) Fuson, Siler, Ky., Jerry (Ruth) Fuson, Frakes, Ky., and Phillip (Thelma) Fuson, Siler, Ky.; four sisters, Mildred Fields, Romulus, Mich., Mabel (Oscar) Fields, LaVergne, Tenn., Janie (Tony) Spicer, Celina, and Phillis Keasler, LaVergne, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Alfred Fuson; two sisters, Ruth Fields and Kathleen Partin; and a granddaughter, Amanda Sue Jones.
She retired from the St. Marys Cotton Mill and was a homemaker. She was a member of Samaria Missionary Baptist Church, St. Marys, and very dedicated to her church and family.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Samaria Missionary Baptist Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Jack Burns officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice or cancer research.
