* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Shirley Laipply
Shirley J. Laipply, 78, Van Wert, died at 12:59 p.m. Oct. 8, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Convoy, to Cletus and Berniece Hilton Frane. On June 23, 1961, she married Robert Laipply, who survives.
Also surviving are her sons, Bob Laipply, Spring Arbor, Mich., and Steve Laipply, Dallas; a daughter, Julie (Mike) Garke, Burkettsville; and three grandchildren, Adam, Rebecca and Nathan Laipply.
She retired in 2011 from Hilton Jewelry and Kulwicki Insurance in Convoy, and was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert. She graduated in 1953 from Convoy-Union High School, and was trustee and former secretary of the Convoy Community Foundation.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Van Wert, Fr. Stanley Szybka and Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Convoy.
Calling is 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert.
Memorial donations may be given to the Convoy Community Foundation.
