Chris Shindeldecker
Chris A. Shindeldecker, 48, died in Key Largo, Fla., on Aug. 30, 2013.
He was born March 7, 1965, in Celina, to Frank and Patricia A. (Marsee) Shindeldecker.
Surviving are his father, Frank Shindeldecker Jr. of Ohio City; his mother, Patricia A. (Bob) Froning of St. Marys; his fiancee, Brandi Funderburgh of Key Largo; a son, Christopher Loshe of Decatur, Ind.; two daughters, Brittany Stapleton of Columbus and Darbi Funderburgh of Key Largo; a brother, Chad Shindeldecker of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Lisa (Edward) Keipper of Rockford.
He graduated from Parkway High School in 1983 and was employed as a security guard at the Patches School in Key Largo. Previously he had worked in landscaping. His zest for life was exemplified by his love of motorcycle racing.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
