Barbara E. Knoth, 75, Yellow Springs, died Sept. 8, 2012.

She was born Jan. 16, 1937, in Mercer County, to Lowell and Ruth Hatfield Witter. In 1961, she married Jerry Knoth, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, David Henry (Cathy) Knoth, Springboro, Timothy Lowell (Jennifer) Knoth, Springboro, and Heather Liegh Knoth, Yellow Springs; two brothers, William (Glenna) Witter, Virginia, and Don (Carol) Witter, Florida; two sisters, Karen (Terry) Hutton, Missouri, and Sharon (Jim) Walls, London, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Jim (Nancy) Knoth, Brookville, and John (B.J.) Knoth, W.Va.; two sisters-in-law, Janet Turner, Russells Point, and Jane (Jerry) Rutledge, Celina; and four grandchildren.

Also deceased are her infant son, Christopher, and a son-in-law, Rick Godwin.

She taught at Fairborn City Schools for over 30 years and volunteered at the Terrific Women in Giving (TWIGs) program, an auxiliary of Dayton Children's Medical Center, for 30 years.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home.
