Quadruple fatality case

ST. MARYS - More than a century after it was completed, Miami & Erie Canal lock 13 is undergoing a facelift. The refurbishing of the lock 13 area began three years ago even before the old lock itself was unearthed.
The Ohio legislature recently passed a joint resolution that would create the 13-member Livestock Care Standards Board, which would have authority to set standards for the care and welfare of livestock and poultry in the state.

School board members on Tuesday unanimously approved a 15 percent increase for plate lunches and extras to help cover rising expenses. Last year, expenses topped receipts by about $26,000.
The 12th annual Tabfest will be held Friday and Saturday at the Mendon Speedway at Grand Lake Motorcycle Club, 8619 Deepcut Road, Mendon.
This year's musical line-up will include a mix of rock, blues, jazz, country, folk, funk and bluegrass bands.
