* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Rev. Milton Ballor
The Rev. Milton Ballor, 80, of St. Charles Center, Carthagena, died at 1:47 p.m. July 21, 2009, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. Death was due to complications following surgery.
He was born May 31, 1929, in Fraser, Mich., to Reuben and Edna Baumgertner Ballor.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survivors are a brother-in-law, John Kroon, Fayette, Mo.; and two sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Bolia, Armada, Mich., and Carol Ballor, Mesa, Ariz.
Deceased are 15 brothers and sisters.
He entered the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 1942 and was ordained June 11, 1955. He spent three years at St. Boniface Church in Piqua, then traveled to Chile as a missionary in 1958. In Chile, he served in parish ministry in Rio Negro and Santiago before becoming rector of St. Gaspar College in Santiago from 1965 to 1969.
Upon his return to the U.S. in 1969, he ministered at Precious Blood parish in Dayton until 1973. From 1973 to 1974 he served as director of formation for the Precious Blood, and until 1978 served as procurator for the Precious Blood missions. In 1975, he was named archivist for the Cincinnati Province, a position he held until his death.
From 1976 to 1983 he served as pastor of St. Rose Church and provincial secretary. He also served at St. Peter Church in Archbold, St. Michael Church in Frank, Assumption Church in Reed and the local St. Anthony Church. He also served in Hispanic centers in Cranberry Prairie and Dayton, as chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, and special mission assignments in Peru and Guatemala.
From 1991 to 1994, he served as editor of C.PP.S. Today. He was named pastor of St. Mary Church in London, Ontario, in 1993, and became pastor of St. Paul Church in Sharpsburg and St. Wendelin Church in 1993, before retiring in 1999. He also was an author.
Funeral Mass is 2 p.m. Wednesday in the temporary chapel at St. Charles Center, the Revs. Ken Schnipke and Joseph Fox officiating. Burial is at the community cemetery at St. Charles Center.
Calling is 1-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at St. Charles, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
Arrangements are being handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
