* WHEN...From 7 PM EDT this evening through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Vernon Schmidt Jr.
Vernon Schmidt Jr., 87, 1660 Celina Road, St. Marys, died at 3:15 a.m. June 2, 2009, at the residence.
He was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Auglaize County, to Vernon and Florance Blank Schmidt Sr. He was married for 64 years to Eleanor Jane McCune, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Vernon (Sharon) Schmidt III, Dayton, and Charles David Schmidt, St. Marys; a daughter, Patrica (Bill) Underburger, Dayton; a brother, Guy (Vera) Schmidt, Celina; a sister, Margorie Irene (Larry) Durkee, St. Marys; and three grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother Charles W. (Bill) Schmidt.
He was a 1939 graduate of the former Neptune High school. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1986 after 45 years of service. He was a member of St. Marys American Legion and ISA of America.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Keith Kivlin officiating.
Calling is Thursday two hours prior to service. Military honors will be conducted by the St. Marys American Legion following the service. Burial will be at a later date at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Contributions may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church in St. Marys.
