* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Sylvia Sommer
Former Minster resident Sylvia M. Sommer, 88, died at 7:36 a.m. Aug. 7, 2008 at Otterbein, St. Marys.
She was born Oct. 10, 1919 in Minster to Joseph and Clara Boecker Schemmel. On May 13, 1944, she married Richard Moorman, who died June 28, 1968. On Aug. 8, 1980, she married Robert Sommer, who died Dec. 27, 1998.
Surviving are four sons, Donald (Karen) Moorman, Charlotte, N.C., Rev. Ronald (Lois) Moorman, Springfield, Ill., Richard (Linda) Moorman, Rosewell Ga., and Nick (Beth) Moorman, Bowling Green, Ky.; six daughters, Linda Mikhael, Cincinnati, Ann (Robert) Huelsman, Covington, Sara (Mark) Vallo, Greenville, Jennifer (Stanley) Levine, Fort Wayne, Martha (Tim) Tangemean, New Bremen, and Melissa (Robert) Foster, Foxboro, Mass.; 25 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Joseph Schemmel; and a sister, Romona Winkeljohn.
She had worked at Minster Bank and Zimpher Jewelers, Minster. She was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial is at church cemetery.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-9:30 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
