Norbert Schipper
Norbert F. Schipper, 87, of Botkins, died at 2:45 a.m. April 26, 2008, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
He was born March 25, 1921, in Rhine, to Albert and Matilda Schmitmeyer Schipper. On Feb. 15, 1947, he married Theresa Ann Stinebaugh, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Donald (Vicki) and Ronald (Katie), all of Botkins; six daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Bruns, Maria Stein, Shirley (Ronald) Dunn, Anna, Patricia (David) Butcher, Jacqueline (Rodney) Maurer and Judy (John) Oellerman, all of Botkins, and Janet (Jerry) Schnippel, Wapakoneta; a sister, Irene Hoying, McCartyville; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Fortman, Glandorf; 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother and his wife, Leonard and Mary; a sister, Mary Ann Fortman; and two grandchildren.
He worked for Stinebaugh Construction Co. for 38 years and later at Gehring & Burtchin Construction Co., Lima. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins, and the Wapakoneta Bowling Association and was a 1940 graduate of Botkins High School.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
