* WHEN...Until this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Paul Christopher

Paul L. Christopher, 58, of 610 Farrington Court, St. Marys, died at 5:20 p.m. March 7, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. Death was due to cancer.

He was born August 7, 1949, in Celina to Harry and Rose Weber Christopher. On July 8, 1972, he married Rebecca Axe, who survives.

Other survivors are two sons, Brian (Kelly) and Tom, both of St. Marys; a daughter, Amy (Roger) Rose, Kettering; and two sisters, Paulette (Mike) Miller and Cheryl (Ed) Broyles, St. Marys.

Deceased is a stepfather, Fred Barga.

He worked at Thieman Stamping Company, New Bremen, and Ace Hardware, St. Marys. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Columbus in the Mediterranean Sea, a member of the American Legion, St. Marys, and the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys.

Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.

Calling is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.

Contributions can be made to Friends of Holy Rosary or Auglaize County Cancer Unit of the American Cancer Society.
