* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Joan Kimmel
Former Mercer resident Joan E. Kimmel, 85, of Dublin, died Jan. 6, 2008, at Whetstone Care Center, Columbus.
She was born April 10, 1922, in Celina, to Edward and Florence Nungester Eichenauer. On Dec. 22, 1946, she married Paul Kimmel, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Diane (Thomas) Schumm, Dublin; four sisters, Vivian (Dillon) Laffin, Houston, Texas, Marjorie (Rev. Robert) Ellis and Virginia Strable, all of Celina, and Imogene Homan, Angola, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Jane Eichenauer, Celina; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Deceased is a brother, Nelson Eichenauer.
She was a retired school teacher who taught in the St. Marys school district and at Celina East Elementary School. A 1939 graduate of Celina High School and a graduate of Bowling Green University and Miami University, Oxford, she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She also was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Celina, and attended Grace Brethren North West Chapel, Dublin.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Robert Ellis officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
