* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Gertrude Topp
Former New Bremen resident Gertrude M. Topp, 88, a resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster, died at 5:20 a.m. Dec. 28, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 6, 1919, in Osgood, to Grace Magoto Stutz, and raised by her grandfather, John Magoto. On Nov. 3, 1945, she married Clarence W. Topp, who died Dec. 25, 1993.
Surviving are three brothers, John (Helen) Stutz, Delphos, Robert (Marge) Stutz, Ohio City, and Danny (Carol) Stutz, Van Wert; four sisters, Edna Creel, of Alabama, Ruth Ann (Lester) Topp, New Bremen, Pearl (Warren) Mason, Van Wert, and Judy (Jerry) Lewis, Van Wert.
Deceased are a brother, William Stutz; and two sisters, Margaret Miller and Betty Swentzer.
She retired from Crown Equipment Corp., New Bremen, and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, New Bremen.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial is at St. Martin's Cemetery, Osgood.
Calling is 4-6 p.m. Friday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
