Viola May
Former Coldwater resident Viola M. May, 100, died at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 30, 2007, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
She was born March 2, 1907, in Bryant, Ind., to Stephen and Mary Hierholzer Hartnagel. On April 16, 1929, she married Edward J. May, who died Dec. 8, 1977.
Survivors are a son-in-law, Paul Bertke, St. Henry; a sister, Irene May, Bryant, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Leona Hartnagel, Dayton; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren
Deceased are a daughter and her husband, Mary Ann and Robert Hoening; and a daughter, Lucille Bertke.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Daniel Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
