FORT RECOVERY - The amount of state funding offered this year to Fort Recovery Local Schools to pursue a possible renovation or construction project was not equitable, according to Superintendent David Riel.
While attending a meeting at the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) office in Columbus on Friday, Riel said he and Treasurer Lori Koch were told by OSFC Executive Director Michael Shoemaker that the offer to Fort Recovery was not fair and he would look into making changes. [More]

Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Ingraham did not mince words when it came to chastising an area man for a continuing pattern of drinking and then operating a vehicle while under the influence (OVI).
Colin Uhlenhake, 33, formerly of 405 Bernard Ave., St. Henry, sat with head bowed as Ingraham imposed a 24-month prison sentence for a seventh OVI conviction. [More]
