Alberta Wagner
Carthagena native Alberta A. Wagner, 64, of Van Wert, died at 9:30 a.m. June 1, 2007, at her residence following a garage fire.
She was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Carthagena, to Gregory and Margaret Braun Huber. On Aug. 30, 1959, she married Roger L. Wagner, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert, Van Wert; three daughters, Lisa (John) Kessler and Laura (Mike) Biro, all of Van Wert, and Amy (Steve) Harpster, Waynesfield; four brothers, Norbert, Leroy and Louis, all of Celina, and Ronald, Covington; four sisters, Vera Staugler, Osgood, Roberta (Don) Wagner and Nettie (Lynn) Burger, all of Celina, and Carol (Clifford) Longsworth, Van Wert; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Deceased are four brothers, Joseph, Victor, Albert and Alford; and two sisters, Betty Lange and Helen Dunlap.
She was a homemaker, and also worked at Tu-Way Products, Rockford, Sharp Canning and Ohio City Manufacturing. She was a member of the Apostolic Church, Van Wert.
Service are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Robert Frake officiating. Burial is at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert, and 9:30-10:30 Wednesday at the church.
