Donald Klosterman
Donald "Baldy" Louis Klosterman, 89, formerly of Lima and Wapakoneta, OH died Monday April 13, 2026 at the Grande Lake Healthcare Center in St. Marys, OH.
He was born August 20, 1936 in Moulton Twp. - Auglaize Co., OH to Arthur and Viola (Osterfeld) Klosterman.
Survivors include daughter Tammy (Mike) Taber of Leadville, CO; daughter Sheri Spicer of Glendale, AZ; daughter Cynthia (Chris) Brown of Wapakoneta, OH; daughter Deb (Dave) Horner of Wapakoneta, OH; 9 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Jeanne Boes of Columbus, OH; brother Bernard "Barney" (Carol) Klosterman of St. Marys, OH; brother Dugan (Marsha) Klosterman of Van Wert, OH; sister Kay Siebert of Coldwater, OH; brother Bob (Ronda) Klosterman of St. Marys, OH; brother John (Cindy Klosterman of Wapakoneta, OH; brother Jerry (Delilah) Klosterman of St. Marys, OH; brother Richard (Catherine) Klosterman of Celina, OH; sister Becky (Dennis) Link of Cincinnati, OH; and sister Judy (David) Fuller of St. Marys, OH.
Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Viola Klosterman; sister Betty Lengerich; sister Shirley Byerley; brother Tom Klosterman, sister Carrie Hawkins; brother Dave Klosterman; sister Chris Chunnic; and sister Marie "Mert" Humphries.
He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1954). A natural-born salesman, he made a successful career as a representative for beverage companies and construction supplies. In addition, he owned Klosterman-Campnell Construction Co. He was a lifelong Catholic.
Don will be remembered for his outgoing and fun-loving personality that made others feel valued and loved. His favorite pastimes included playing card games (especially, euchre), traveling to casinos and spending time with his siblings and extended family.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday April 16, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 116 N. Mill Street in Botkins, OH, with the Rev. Sean Wilson, celebrant. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wapakoneta, OH.
Visitation 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys.
Baldy's family is grateful for the wonderful care he received from the nursing home and hospice program. Furthermore, they will always treasure the memories and delightful companionship Don shared with Angela McCarthy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either Grande Lake Healthcare Center, Grand Lake Hospice, or masses.
