* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:40 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Larry Durkee
Larry G. Durkee, age 76, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born December 20, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Clarence and Dorothy (Goodman) Durkee. On September 11, 1971, he married, Margorie I. Durkee, who preceded him in death on July 8, 2025.
Larry is survived by his son, Mike (Dixie) Durkee of St. Marys; three grandsons, Jason (Krystal) Durkee of Spencerville, Andrew (Meg Fillinger) Durkee of El Paso, Texas, and Nick (Megan) Durkee of Fairborn; and four great-grandchildren: Liam, Lilly, Lane, and Levi. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly (Rex) Roby of Huntington, West Virginia, along with a niece and nephew.
A 1967 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, Larry dedicated 29 years of service to the Ohio Department of Transportation, later continuing his commitment to public service as the village administrator for New Bremen for five years. He was one of the original founders of the St. Marys Township Fire Department, proudly serving as fire chief for over 20 years. His leadership and passion for community safety also played a key role in helping establish the Greenville Township Fire Department in Greenville, Ohio.
Larry was a member of Wayne Street Church in St. Marys and an active participant in the Ohio Good Sams Camping Club and the Moon Walkers Chapter #68. Larry and Marge shared countless joyful adventures RVing together, creating memories they treasured dearly. Known for his sense of humor and friendly nature, Larry brought laughter and light to everyone around him.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys, located at 1175 E. Greenville Rd, with Pastor Tim Benjamin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to Noon prior to the service. In honor of Larry, guests are kindly encouraged to dress casually.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Marys Township Fire Department.
