He was preceded in death by two brothers, Norbert and Richard Holthaus and sisters & brothers-in-law: Marian Holthaus, William Mayl and Sally Franz.
Mr. Holthaus was a US Army veteran and had been stationed in Germany following the Korean War. In 1995 he retired from a dedicated career in dairy farming. Many years ago, he had been employed at a barber shop in Dayton. Hank was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church where over the years he had been an usher and also served on parish council. He belonged to the Fort Loramie American Legion and was a past member of the Minster Fraternal Order of Eagles. Additionally, he served five years on the Turtle Creek Township Board of Zoning Appeals. Hank enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, golf, and especially Sunday family game days. He also followed his children and grand-children's school and sporting activities. Back in the day, Hank had been an avid league bowler with the Ma & Pa and Minster Men's Leagues.
