* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Carol Salm
Carol J. Salm age 81, of Minster, Ohio, died on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Otterbein St. Marys, Ohio.
She was born on October 21, 1944 to the late Wilbur & Helen (Copeland) Poppe. She married David J. Salm on May 8, 1965 and he survives in Minster.
She is also survived by children: Keith Salm and Jeffrey Rogers, DO, Dayton, Kevin & Kimberly Salm, Daytona Beach, Nicole Murphy, Minster, grandchildren: Chad Salm, Dustin Salm, Jarret Salm, Gage Murphy, Brayden Murphy, Logan Murphy, Kellen Murphy, 2 great grandchildren Jordyn Salm and Alexis Salm brothers: Marion Poppe, Wapakoneta, Wilbur (Bill) & Nancy Poppe, Wapakoneta, Donny & Bonnie Poppe, Botkins, sister-in-law Sue Salm, Evansville, IN.
She was preceded in death by her daughter's twin sons Xavier David and Connor Joseph, sisters: Betty Behn, Joanne Howard, Patricia Stutsman, in-laws, James Salm and Michael Salm.
Carol was a member of St. Augustine Church, Minster. She was a graduate of Botkins High School and Richard Weston Beauty Academy. She was the owner of Tip Top Beauty Shop until her marriage. She then became a devoted wife and mother. Her children and grandchildren were her whole life, and she had a hard time being away from them for long. She was always cooking, baking, planting flowers or sewing something for her family and she was amazing at it all. She always made time and would drop anything the minute any of her family needed a haircut. When she was able to let her hair down, she loved to dance and sing. Her favorite place on earth was her parent's property in Put-In-Bay, Ohio. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, November 20, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Wednesday November 19, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM and on Thursday, November 20 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice, St. Augustine Mission Commission, and The Center for Neurological Development, Burkettsville, Ohio.
