* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Larry Powers
Larry B. Powers, 76, of New Bremen, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 1:37 A.M. after a long battle with his health.
He was born on November 21, 1948, in Frakes, Kentucky, to the late Verlin and Bobbi (Jones) Powers. On July 11, 1970, he married Linda (Otting) Powers, who survives in New Bremen. Together, they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.
Larry is also survived by his children: Chad (Kimberly) Powers of New Bremen, Aaron (Heather) Powers of New Bremen, Travis (Jim Goushaw) Powers of Columbus, and Stephanie (Chris) Law of Bellbrook. He leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Taylor, Megan, and Cole Powers; Avery and Abigale Powers; and Caleb and Eli Law. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings: David Powers, Verlin Powers Jr., Jeff Powers, Sandy Powers, Linda Hughes, and Ida Powers. Larry is also survived by his in-laws: Jerry (Joan) Otting and Gary (Rhonda) Coverstone.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Don, Darrell, Warren, and Emily Powers.
Larry was a graduate of Sidney High School. He worked at Globus Printing in Minster for 20 years as a dedicated printing press operator. In his free time, he was a talented woodworker, crafting many projects for his family. He also loved to fish, draw, and had coached baseball for several years. He was an avid fan at his grandchildren's sporting events and enjoyed a good game of poker. He was a member of The Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August, 16, 2025 at The Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. Interment will follow in German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 15th from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Gilberg Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and again at the church, on Saturday, one hour prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to RICO Pet Recovery (2887 Sandhurst Drive, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035) or to the Auglaize County Humane Society (616 N. Dixie Highway, Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895).
