Donald Brock
Donald L. Brock, age 82, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Celina Manor.
Born on December 19, 1942, in Celina, Don was the son of the late Paul and Della (Long) Brock. On June 20, 1970, he married the love of his life, Patty Sue (Wicker) Brock, who preceded him in death on January 12, 2023. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and faith.
Don is survived by his devoted children: Jennifer Mescher of Celina; Robert "Bob" (Megan) Brock of Piney Flats, Tennessee; and Ryan Brock of Hopatcong, New Jersey. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Kyle (Jessica) Balthis, Callie Mescher (Bryan Neal), Kate Brock, and Will Brock; and a loving great-grandfather to Myles, Wade, Theo, and Blair Balthis.
He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Crimble of Paris, Tennessee, and Nancy Wallace of Celina; as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law: Tom (Angie) Wicker of St. Marys, Peg (Gary) Meiring of Minster, Terry (Kris) Wicker of Florida, Jay Wicker of Lima, Lana Wicker of St. Marys, and Karen Wicker of St. Marys. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Don was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law: Ron Wicker, Larry Wicker, and Joe Crimble; an infant sister; a niece, Nickie Wallace; and a nephew, Ron Wicker Jr.
A proud graduate of Celina High School, Class of 1960, Don went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was employed for many years at New Idea in Coldwater and later held various factory positions until his retirement.
Don will be remembered as a gentle and kind-hearted soul. He cherished time with his family and found great joy in researching family history and genealogy.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Matt Overman.
The family will also receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina with military honors conducted by VFW Post #5713.and Celina American Legion Post #210.
