* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Richard Klinger
Richard Lee Klinger, 84, of St. Marys, OH died 1:50 p.m. Friday August 1, 2025 at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born June 9, 1941 in St. Marys, OH to Edward Jacob and Iona B. (Stroefer) Klinger. On December 7, 1961 in Mt. Sterling, KY he married Alice Fay McPherson, who died February 4, 2009.
Survivors include: daughter Samantha (Jeff) Clouser of St. Marys, OH; daughter Anna Klinger of Columbia City, IN; son John (Kira) Klinger of Jackson Center, OH; son Richard (Kisha) Klinger of Everglades City, FL; son Robert Klinger of Vidalia, GA; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: parents Edward and Iona Klinger; wife Alice Fay Klinger; daughter Betty Jean Klinger; grandson Garrett Rhodes; and brother Robert Klinger.
A proud American, he served his country in the United States Army in France and Germany as an equipment maintenance engineer during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Parker-Hannifin Corp. in St. Marys, where he worked as an inspector in the quality control department. Richard was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed collecting firearms.
Funeral Rites are scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday August 6, 2025 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Burial, with military funeral honors, will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
