Betty Hall
Betty Jane Hall, 98, of rural St. Marys, Ohio, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at her residence.
She was born February 12, 1927, in Buckland, Ohio, the daughter of Ralph and Pearl (Worthington) Bruner. She married Robert Hall on Easter Sunday, April 21, 1946, and they shared 44 years of marriage; he preceded her in death on January 18, 1990.
She is survived by her four children: Larry (Marilynn) Hall of Saint Marys; Ronald (Joan Smith) Hall of Celina; Mike Hall of Saint Marys; Barbara (Robert) Boecker of Alex, Oklahoma.
She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: Brian Hall of Wisconsin; Chris (Janice) Hall of Oregon; Kelsey Boecker of Alex, OK; Jason (Kim) Hall of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Brad Hall of Saint Marys; John (Dawn) Hall of Saint Marys; Heidi (Mark) Dotson of Saint Marys; Hope Frey of Saint Marys; Mindy (Eric) Silber of Saint Marys, 26 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchild.
Betty was a 1944 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She attended Fort Wayne Business College. She became a bookkeeper working at Jasperson's Auto Parts; Auglaize County Civil Defense; Burke Insurance, Hall's TV and retiring from the Auglaize County Council on Aging. She worked part-time at GNC until she was 87.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, her brother, Dwight (Dorothy) Bruner; her sister, Carol (John) Schroeder; sister-in-law Katie (John) Kuii; daughters-in-law Sharmon Hall and Deb Hall.
Betty's love for her children and family was abounding. Every summer the whole family took a two week vacation with their pop-up camper and over the years were able to visit every state except Hawaii in the camper. She and Bob traveled by plane to many European countries and Hawaii. She had been in a bowling league for 50 plus years, liked playing golf, going to casinos and line dancing. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 Monday, August 4, 2025, at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Ed Karges, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends and family may call from 12:00 noon until the time of services on Monday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Saint Paul's United Church of Christ.
