* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

James McDowell
James A. McDowell, age 61, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born on May 10, 1964, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Carl and Mary Bernice (Rohrer) McDowell, Sr.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Teka.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Ashley and 2 grandsons and one granddaughter; his siblings, Carl Edward (Connie) McDowell, Jr. of Portland, Connie Price of Portland, John (Karla) McDowell of Fort Recovery, Norbert McDowell of Fort Recovery, Virginia (Bob) Bueter of Fort Recovery, Dolores McDowell of Celina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim enjoyed going to Goodwill and local auctions, where he would search for his next deal and project. He would always track down wood furniture, which he would refinish and make like new. Jim also enjoyed going on bike rides around town.
An open house celebration of Jim's life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Christ Chapel, 2535 Wabash Road, Fort Recovery, Ohio 45846.
Following the celebration of life at 3:30 PM, a burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
