* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Cheryl Krauss
Cheryl A. Krauss, age 79, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at Vancrest of St. Marys. She was born on March 28, 1945, in Willard, Ohio, to the late Edwin "Ed" and Mildred (Goctschalk) Springer. On November 2, 1963, Cheryl married the love of her life, Kenneth A. Krauss, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle Kroeger, on January 8, 2022.
Cheryl's memory will be cherished by her children: Christine (Nicholas) Barlage of Celina, Dawn Leugers of Fort Recovery, and Terry (Melinda) Krauss of Celina; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Connie (William Meiring) Dennings of New Bremen.
A proud 1963 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, Cheryl spent her life as a dedicated homemaker, offering love and care to her family. Over the years, she worked in a variety of roles, but it was her devotion to her family, especially her children and grandchildren, that truly defined her. Her warm heart, compassionate spirit, and the joy she found in her family will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys with Rev. Tim Benjamin officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, prior to the service, to offer their condolences and support.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to EverHeart Hospice, 230 W Main St, Coldwater, Ohio 45828, in honor of the compassionate care Cheryl received.
