Margaret Ann "Maggie" (Hayes) Baucher, age 87 of Adrian, Michigan and formerly of Celina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2024 at the Springcreek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Adrian, Michigan.
She was the daughter of the late Forest and Ellen (Foor) Hayes born November 30, 1937 in Rockford, Ohio. On Oct. 4, 1957 she married Jerry Lee Baucher, who survives living in Adrian, MI.
Margaret is also survived by her five children Julye (Jim) Reneau of Findlay, OH, Jay (Laura) Baucher of Canton, OH, Jon (Jerri) Baucher of Adrian, MI, Jim (Kimberly) Baucher of Denton, TX, Ty (June) Baucher of St. Marys, OH and sister-in-law Carolyn Leffler of Celina, OH. Her twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sister JoEllen, brothers and sisters-in-law Bud (Betty) Hayes and Gordon (Gretchen) Hayes and brothers-in-law Jim Baucher, Jack Detrick and Don Leffler.
Margaret graduated from Rockford High School with the Class of 1955. She received her registered nursing degree from the Middletown School of Nursing in 1958. Then was employed as a RN with Dr. George McIlroy's MD Office until she retired in 1968, but retained her nursing license until 2017. She kept track of where her former fosters were in life long after they had left the Baucher loving care. She enjoyed wintering on Anna Marie Island in Florida. In these last years, she enjoyed watching the variety of birds that were constantly present at the bird feeders on her deck. She followed all things United States Naval Academy with a passion, especially after her visit there with a grandson in 2018! She was also an avid Ohio State football fan with very strong opinions on player usage and play calling.
