Three townships, three property tax levies

Center, Dublin and Hopewell Townships

MERCER COUNTY - Voters in three townships will see five-year property tax renewal levies on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.

Center Township

Center Township voters will decide on a five-year, 0.35-mill property tax renewal levy that funds parks and recreation.

The levy collects about $13,000 annually, according to Center Township Clerk John Sites. It would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $8 per year, according to the ballot language.

Sites said the funds will go toward maintaining Neptune Park, which has playground equipment and basketball and tennis courts.

The levy was first passed in 2019.

Dublin Township

Dublin Township voters will decide on a five-year, 0.5-mill property tax renewal levy that pays for general operating expenses.

The levy collects $12,000 annually, according to the ballot language. It would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $4 per year.

Hopewell Township

Hopewell Township voters will decide on a five-year, 1.7-mills property tax renewal levy that pays for current expenses.

The levy collects $72,000 annually, according to the ballot language. It would cost the owner of a $100,000 home $39 per year.
