* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Thomas Kremer
Thomas Kremer, age 97, of St. Anthony, passed away at Celina Manor on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
He was born December 30, 1926 in St. Anthony to the late Lawrence & Hedwig (Gagel) Kremer. On October 26, 1953, he married Mary (Bomholt) Kremer and she preceded him in 2019.
He is survived by his children and in-laws, Rick & Kate Kremer of Ansonia; Roger Kremer of Ft. Recovery; Kay & Jeff Grey, Bob Kremer, all of St. Anthony, Kim & Jennifer Kremer of Coldwater; John Kremer of St. Anthony; and Tim & Sally Braun of St. Henry; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Jim Scharf of West Virginia.
He is preceded in death by a daughter Ann Braun, a son, Gary Kremer; siblings and in-laws, Jen & Bill Zehringer, Mary Ann & Norman Severt, Joan Scharf, Alma Bomholt, Dorothy & Paul Raffel, Clarence "Pete" & Dorothy Bomholt, and Joe Bomholt.
Tom was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was an army veteran during WWII, serving in the Pacific as an interpreter of the Japanese language for Gen. Douglas MacArthur. He was the second generation owner of Kremer's Store in St. Anthony. He was also a member of the Coldwater VFW.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024 at St. Anthony Church. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday and 9-9:45 a.m. on Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anthony Church Beautification Campaign.
