Claris Aller
Claris E. Aller, 89, of Lawton, Oklahoma and formerly of Celina, Ohio passed away peacefully Monday, May 13, 2024 in a Wichita Falls, Texas hospital.
A private family graveside memorial service will be held at North Grove Cemetery in Celina, Ohio at a later date.
Claris E. Aller was born November 20, 1934, to Stanton Cole and Sarah Ethel (Barker) Cole in Olive Hill, Kentucky. On December 14, 1950, she married James F. Aller in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Claris worked as a cook at the Mercer County Home until her retirement in 2001, a job that she was passionate about. She was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her love of cooking. Claris was an active and devoted member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church, as well as the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Moose Lodge in Celina, Ohio. Beyond her role at the Mercer County Home, she also managed Carl Wright's Truck Stop and other local food establishments in Celina. Her contributions to her community and her family were deeply valued, and she left a lasting legacy through her dedication and care.
Claris is survived by two children, Larry and Sally Klosterman Aller of Lawton, Oklahoma and Beverly Allen and Bill Darnell of Hartselle, Alabama; 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James F. Aller, son, Jerry Aller, one grandchild, Renee, two great grandchildren, Katie and Kyle, three sisters and three brothers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
