* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

* WHEN...From 7 PM EDT this evening through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

Train smashes semi in Versailles

No one was injured according to officials

VERSAILLES - A train collided with a semitractor-trailer on Wednesday, causing heavy damage to the front of the semitractor but no injuries.

Versailles fire and police responded to a call at 10:37 a.m. of a crash at West Street and State Route 47, according a news release on the village EMS' Facebook page.

Video shot by local resident Isaiah Vanderhorst shows a semitractor-trailer entering the railroad crossing when the crossing arm comes down in-between the semitractor and the trailer. A driver exits the vehicle and seconds later runs to safety before a CSX train plows into the front end of the semitractor.

Police units found the semitractor-trailer perpendicular to the tracks with heavy front end damage and a large debris field, the release states. The train continued west down the tracks before coming to a stop just east of the Conover Road crossing. All occupants were accounted for and uninjured.

Versailles EMS evaluated two patients on scene.

The semitractor-trailer spilled large amounts of fuel and fluids, which were mitigated by fire personnel, the release states. There was also damage to the train engine that was repaired by CSX personnel.

As of 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, the intersection was open.

Vanderhorst, who captured footage of the dramatic collision, films trains as a hobby, said Versailles police officer Nathan Nolte.
