* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Evelyn Jones
Evelyn F. Jones, 80, of Wapakoneta, passed away 8:10 a.m., Mon. Oct. 9, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System, with her family at her side.
She was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Hastings, NE, the daughter of the late Harold and Erma (Klawitter) Welch.
Survivors include, children, William Thomas (Joy) Jones, II, Uniopolis, OH; Monica Jones Marshall and Larry Thomas, Rockford, OH,; Laura J. Jones and Ned Kantner, Wapakoneta; grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Matthew (Heather) Jones, Jaclyn Jones, Chandi Marshall, Holden (Bailey) Hengstler, Elizabeth Jones, Misty Rose; great grandchildren,  William, Annabelle, Matthew II, Harley, Emma, Huck, Hayes, Bailey, Alexandra, Landon, Aspen, Camry, Gwendolynn, Garrett; sister-in-law, Carol Welch.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacie Lynn Jones, and her siblings and spouses, Duane Welch, Barbara (Carl) Cramer, Everett "Smokey" (Waneta) Welch, and former husband, William Thomas Jones.
Evelyn retired from Superior Metal, Wapakoneta, after 25 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Wapakoneta, and the Wapakoneta YMCA. Her hobbies included knitting, playing bingo at the Council on Aging, puzzles, reading, and collecting angel memorabilia. She was also babysitter for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m., Sat. Oct. 14, 2023, at the Eley Funeral home and Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Josh Tissot officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m., Sat. Oct. 14, at the funeral home.
