Brenda Ross
Brenda J. Ross age 81 of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and formerly of Celina, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 with her family at her side.
She was born on Jan. 2, 1942 in Fonde, Ky to the late John and Beatrice (Mason) Gibson. On Aug. 8, 1959, she married James Edward Ross, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2012.
She is survived by her children Robert Ross of Celina, John Ross of Celina, Catherine (Dave) King of Ft. Wayne, IN, ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Rose (Ronald) Theiboue of Versailles, Mary Routzan of Celina, Linda (Donald) Gudakunst of Lima, and Ronald (Diana) Gibson of Celina.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Robert, Donald, Clifford, Charles Gibson, her sisters and brothers-in-law Thelma Sue Gibson, Patsy (Ben) Rodriguez and Tom Routzan.
She retired in 2002 from the Mercer County Community Hospital. She was a founding member of the Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Celina. Where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. Her favorite pastime was being with her family. She enjoyed needle point, cooking, and shopping.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in the Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.
Friends and Family may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Celina 817 N. Sugar St. Celina, Ohio 45822.
