Edwin Linn
Edwin Alan Linn passed away on Sunday, August 7, at 4:00 a.m. at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago just days after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.
He was born March 24, 1966 in Celina, OH to Robert and Beatrice (Baucher) Linn of Rockford, OH.
He was a 1984 graduate of Parkway High School and a 1990 graduate of The University of Cincinnati College of Architecture, where he was a member of Triangle Fraternity. He has been employed by Chicago Design Network since 1990, and he became a partner in the company in 2007. He enjoyed life in Chicago, especially his bowling league, theater, watching roller derby, and watching the Cubs. He was great host to friends and relatives visiting the city. Ed also enjoyed coming back to Rockford to farm and had planned on moving back when he retired. Ed was known for his generosity - always willing to help anyone in need. He was especially proud of his nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Karla (Clay) Erman of Delphos and Kristi (Steve) Schaefer of St. Anthony; nephews Derrick (Katie) Erman of Marysville and Brenton Erman of Centerville; and nieces Kylie Linn of Rockford, Emily Schaefer, Jordyn Schaefer, and Lanae Schaefer of St. Anthony.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Arlie and Laveda Baucher and paternal grandparents Otto and Norah Linn.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 20, at Rockford United Methodist Church from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There will be visitation from 2:00 - 4:00, with a time of sharing beginning at 4:00 p.m. Visitation and a meal will proceed again after the time of sharing until 6:00 p.m.
