OHSAA announces divisional changes

Several changes for postseason assignments will occur as the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced its divisional breakdowns for the 2022 Fall Sports Season.
Divisions V and VII will have new champions this fall after the defending champions moved into Division VI. Division VII champion Marion Local and Division V champ Versailles will be in Division VI Region 24 along with fellow MAC member Parkway.
Division VI state runner-up Coldwater will move up to Division V Region 18. Fort Recovery, New Bremen, Minster and St. Henry will play this season in Division VII Region 28.
Celina remains in Division III Region 12 while St. Marys drops one division to compete in Division IV Region 14.
In volleyball, Celina and St. Marys remain in Division II. Division IV runner-up St. Henry and regional qualifier Fort Recovery will move up to join Coldwater and Parkway in Division III. Defending champion New Knoxville will remain in Division IV along with Marion Local, Minster and New Bremen.
Soccer remains unchanged with Celina and St. Marys remaining in Division II for boys and girls while Coldwater girls and New Knoxville boys will stay in Division III.
The only change in golf comes for St. Marys, which drops from Division I to Division II this season.
In cross country, the Celina boys move down from Division I to Division II while Coldwater boys move up from Division III to Division II.

After taking a six-run lead through the first two innings, the Coldwater ACME baseball team added on five runs in the sixth and seventh for an 11-1 road win over New Bremen on Monday.
