* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

John VanDeMark
John Richard VanDeMark, 69 years of age died suddenly January 23 in Snowmass, CO doing what he loved. He had retired from Ashland Chemical Co. after over 40 years and had been spending his time living life to the fullest. Native of New Bremen, OH and graduate of the Ohio State University. John was a loving husband and father. Friend to many, stranger to none. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jacob Newton VanDeMark and Dolores (Kunk) VanDeMark.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Marie, daughter, Lindsey VanDeMark, son, Joshua VanDeMark, and siblings, Carol Turner (John), Connie Thomas (John) and Joyce Lambert (Tony); nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, January 31, 2022 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, IN. A rosary service will take place at 7:15 pm on Monday evening at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Albany with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, KY.
