Health board OKs resolution on levy

CELINA - Mercer County Health District Board of Health members meeting Wednesday approved a resolution declaring the necessity of a five-year, 0.55 mill tax levy.
Also on Wednesday, health officials reported five new deaths and 102 new cases of COVID-19 since their report last week and six active outbreaks in the county. The new cases raise the county's cumulative death toll to 109 and cumulative number of cases to 5,909. [More]
Mercer County native sets record with irregular buck

FORT RECOVERY - The third time was the charm for bowhunter and new world-record-holder Hud Baker.
Baker, 51, who had twice missed a massive buck on his family farm outside Fort Recovery, got a third chance on Nov. 14 and made it count, taking down the 213 1/2-inch irregular buck with his longbow to set a new world record in the class. [More]
