* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ralph Kunkler
Ralph Paul Kunkler, age 92, of Carthagena, died on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born April 22, 1929 in Carthagena to the late Henry & Theresia (Homan) Kunkler.
He is survived by siblings and in-laws: Dorothy Schott, Henry Jr. & Ruth Kunkler, Virginia Heitkamp, JoAnn Kunkler, and Herb Siefring, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Ted & Martha Kunkler, Rosemary Olson, Frederick & Evelyn Kunkler, Stella Siefring, Donald Kunkler, Robert Schott, and Florian Heitkamp.
Ralph was a 1947 Graduate of St. Henry High School and served in the U.S. Military. He was a lifelong member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena, as well as the St. Lawrence Men's Sodality at the church. Ralph was a lifetime farmer who was proud of his extended family. He enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw puzzles, as well as talking sports and politics.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 31, 2021 at St. Aloysius Church, Carthagena. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Friends may call from 8:00 to 10:00 AM Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
