Dianne Gibson
Dianne M. Gibson of Franklin, IN and formally of Indianapolis, IN died peacefully at 2:50 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2021, at Community Hospital South from complications of pneumonia.
She was born April 20th, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio to Dr. Boniface H. and Cecile D. (Collins) Forsthoefel.
Survivors include a son, Matthew (Stacey) Gibson, Greenwood, IN. Grandchildren, Will Gibson, Maggie Gibson, and Emma Gibson; a brother Dr. David (Rosemarie) Forsthoefel, Syracuse, IN and her nieces and nephews Dr. David Forsthoefel Jr., Heidi (Devin) Barbee, Katie (Tim) Steinbrunner, and Karl Forsthoefel, and 3 great grandnieces.

Dianne Attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and High School in Celina, OH. She went on to graduate beauty school and worked at L.S. Ayers Downtown as a hair stylist until she retired.
In retirement, she was very active and never missed a family event, an opportunity to go out with her friends, or travel. Dianne loved the water and spent a lot of time going to the ocean and to Lake Wawasee where you would see her lounging with a cocktail in hand. She was active with the Red Hat Society and had many adventures with her friends including a trip to the Holy Land. She was a member of St. Barnabas Parish and her faith was very important to her.
While pleasure is a shared experience, chronic illness is extremely personal and can be all consuming. As much joy as Dianne offered the world, she had many chronic illnesses that would not go away in spite of the many efforts of all who loved and cared for her. Dianne's suffering has come to an end. She passed from this life to the next peacefully and without undue hardship. While she struggled with the life she lived, she died in the way she wanted.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Dianne will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
