Ruth Kinney
Ruth Marie Kinney, 71, of Decatur, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
She was born in Lima, OH, on July 25, 1949, the daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Beldon) Schmidt. She was a 1967 graduate of Coldwater High School and worked as a homemaker.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Kellie J. (Daniel) Hawbaker of Decatur; 4 stepchildren, Tanya Kinney, Mark (Renee) Kinney both of Mendon, OH, Teresa (Steve) Brotherwood of St. Marys, OH, and Chris Kinney of Celina, OH; 3 sisters, Martha Horton, of St. Marys, OH, Jane (Richard) Dailey, of Linn Grove, and Marceil Schmidt, of Celina, OH; 3 brothers, Dan Schmidt, of Willshire, OH, Edwin (Linda) Schmidt, of Courtright, Ontario, and Junior (Angie) Schmidt, of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Larry, Pat, and Richard Schmidt and a sister, Carolyn Robertson.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to her great granddaughter Lily's medical care with checks payable to Kellie J. Hawbaker.
