William Fritzinger
William R. Fritzinger, age 79 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the Parkview Hospital, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
He was born on April 13, 1941 in Celina, Ohio to the late J. Elmer and Mabel (Gantz) Fritzinger. On June 13, 1970 he married Elaine Klenz, who survives in Celina.
William is also survived by: two children Valerie Fritzinger and John (Jenny Haines) Fritzinger, two grandchildren Austin Haines and Zach Haines, a brother and sister-in-law John E. (Lucretia) Fritzinger all of Celina and his sister Joanna (Don) Callahan of Dayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son Mark R. Fritzinger.
William proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a farmer all of his life and retired as a Processing Engineer from International Harvester/Navistar after 33 years of service.
He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina and a member of the Celina American Legion Post #210 and a member of the N.R.A. During his retirement he enjoyed collecting old cars, tractors and attending car shows. He was an avid Ohio State Fan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina, with Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating. Burial will follow in the State Line Cemetery, with Military Honors provided by the Celina American Legion #210 and the Celina V.F.W. Post #5713.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday Aug. 24, 2020 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and an hour before services on Tuesday at the Church. Attendees should observe social-distancing and wear a face masks, according to guidelines recommended by the Ohio Department of Health.
