* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Connie Grossnickle
Connie Sue (Gertz) Grossnickle, 80, of Van Wert passed away at 1:20 PM on Friday, February 22, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 20, 1938 in Celina, Ohio to the late Carl and Verlie (Steele) Gertz. On September 2, 1961 she married Robert Grossnickle and he survives in Van Wert.
Connie was formerly employed at Barr's Department Store and Celina Mutual Insurance, both of Celina. Once married, she devoted herself as a homemaker giving her love and energy to her children, baby-sitting many others, and eventually devoting herself to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Throughout the years, Connie was very involved with the Mt. Tabor Church of God in Celina.
In addition to her husband, Bob, Connie is survived by two daughters, Michelle (Brian) Etzler of Ohio City, Ohio and Karlene (Bob) Priest of Van Wert; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother Bill (Joyce) Gertz of Mendon, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert with Pastor Darwin Dunten officiating.
Interment will immediately follow at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 and one hour prior to services Wednesday, both at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice or Mt. Tabor Church of God.
